The internet is an amazing place, to learn new things, connect with people, look after your physical and mental health to name a very few. However, people are often worried about using the Internet safely. They worry that entering personal information could lead to identity theft, people stealing your money, your location being tracked, your internet search history being made public, your device being disabled to name a few.

Risks of the above happening can be significantly reduced by taking a few basic steps to reduce these risks.

Stop your device being accessed by anyone else. Most devices have a range of options to secure it, choose the best one for you. These include PIN number, pattern, fingerprint and face recognition.

If your device is locked down, it reduces the possibility of it being stolen.

It stops people using your device and potentially running up bills which you would be liable for.
